Here’s a new development. Apparently, the Richard Sherman trade talk was sparked by a request from the cornerback himself, Adam Schefter of ESPN.com (Twitter link) hears. 
“It has been my understanding all along that Richard Sherman was the one who initiated this. He was the one that wanted to be traded initially. The Seahawks were obliging him and his request,” Schefter said on ESPN moments ago.
To this point, the general consensus has been that the Seahawks were shopping Sherman in order to potentially unload his cumbersome contract and get him out of the locker room after clashing with head coach Pete Carroll. Both of those points may be “pros” on the Seahawks’ t-chart, but it apparently was Sherman who got the ball rolling on this trade business to begin with.
This morning, we learned that Sherman wants to join a contender, if he’s traded. One major contending club has apparently bowed out of the sweepstakes, however. The Patriots are not presently interested in acquiring Sherman.

Unless the Hawks are willing to take much less than they asked for he’s not going anywhere. Nobody is giving up a top draft pick for a 29 year old CB who’s making that much. He’s a good player but he’s not worth it.
if I were the Cowboys, id jump all over this for the right price. Seahawks want a good player and a 1st? Sherman is an aging corner with a large contract. I’d trade Crawford who when healthy is a damn good player, and a 3rd. If you don’t want a player like Crawford, then I’d give a 2nd. With this year’s draft, Crawford could be replaced and we wouldn’t need a corner from a top 60 pick.

That trade makes no sense. I’m a dolphins while they aren’t a contender per say, how many teams are actually contenders? Patriots, packers, steelers and falcons? Those are the only teams where I would feel the dolphins are a easy underdog. While you can argue other teams are very good raiders, seahawks, cheifs, Texans and cowboys are as good or better but I would say the dolphins are up and coming and wouldn’t want to mortgage the future for Sherman when they can draft a corner in the second or third round and keep build on what they have in place. I think there success this year wasn’t a fluke looking at the holes and injuries and think if they nail another draft like the past couple then they will be on there way.
Should come to the Chiefs defense with him and Peters/Berry pick your poison
