Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey has requested a trade, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com (Twitter link) hears. Ramsey has butted heads with Jags brass many times over the years and the latest incident took place on Sunday in a heated confrontation with head coach Doug Marrone. 
Part of Ramey’s beef, Rapoport hears, stems from the way he’s being used on the field. Ramsey ranks among the best cover corners in the NFL and wants to play man-to-man on opposing wide receivers. Marrone, meanwhile, deploys him in a zone scheme.
The Jaguars, it seems, are willing to move him, but they won’t part with him on the cheap. The Jaguars are asking teams for at least one first-round pick in return for the Pro Bowler, but want even more than that in a return, sources tell ESPN.com’s Adam Schefter (on Twitter).
Ramsey is under team control through the 2020 season, thanks to the fifth-year option the team exercised this spring. But the contract-seeking cornerback has not exactly been pleased with the franchise as of late. Recently, on the podcast hosted by Titans tackle Taylor Lewan and former Titans linebacker Will Compton, Ramsey said he wouldn’t mind playing for the Titans or Raiders.
In the summer, Ramsey also explained that he would not be willing to give the Jags any sort of a hometown discount.
“Next year, especially after I ball, they’re going to come to me ‘Hey, you know, we want to holler at you,” Ramsey said as he shook his head, on Instagram. “That number is going to be so ungodly.…They’re going to say, ‘Oh god, can’t we get a little discount, 20% off?‘ I’m going to tell them last year you could have gotten that discount. This year, I’m going to need all of that.”
Ramsey, a two-time Pro Bowler and one-time All-Pro, has played in and started 50 out of 50 career games. For his career, he has registered 202 tackles, nine interceptions, and 45 pass breakups.

Football is a team sport. Hard for any coach to win with individuals bigger than the team. Sure, Jags suck. But Ramsey may not be the hill to die on for this team.
A coach is supposed to build around the talent on the roster. So if you have a great man cover CB, let him play man.
This is the reason so many teams fail constantly. The coach wants ‘his system’ rather than put players in the best position to win.
But Marone’s system is to run the ball which is why no QB has a player to throw to! backwards thinking.
Not all players want to be thrown all over. Minkah didn’t. Look what the Eagles did to Nnamdi. A RCB only, 1 side of the field guy, ruined him putting him in the slot, hybrid roles, like let a guy do what he does best. Not everyone is or wants to be a swiss army knife.
Please. It’s one thing to build around talent on a roster and another to have to babysit a problem child who has thrown numerous tantrums on and off the field. AB ring any bells?

This is a huge win-win trade.
Jags would still have AJ Bouye at CB if they felt worried about their defensive coverage they could do this deal and get Gordon and a 2nd, then swap their 1st round pick and get in Fitzzy. All of a sudden they turn Ramsey into Gordon and Fitzzy, making them better all round. Then just target getting some Linemen in the drafts

The Jaguars sideline incident was sure to get play on sites like this but the highlight of the Sunday games for me was Terrell Suggs hugging former teammates in Baltimore. The NFL needs more feel good stories like that in it’s 100th anniversary season.

There are 4 teams that come to mind but only 2 makes sense for him to be traded to.
Raiders : An organization with an abysmal secondary but an okay offense. One or two pieces away from an interesting run.
Chiefs : Godly offense but no defense.
49ers : a team on the verge of glory but on the last step any hope is torn from them like McKinnon’s ACL
Cowboys : Similar situation to the raiders. My most likely bet for the jaguar’s problem child.
I’m willing to bet that it will be an NFC team if he does get traded. And the 49ers and Cowboys make the most sense to me.
