Veteran kicker Justin Tucker has received interest from multiple teams as he awaits his reinstatement from a 10-game suspension stemming from 16 allegations of sexual misconduct, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
The accusations came to light at the end of January after the worst statistical season of Tucker’s career. The NFL swiftly opened an investigation, and the Ravens parted ways with their longtime kicker in May after finding his replacement in the draft.
Tucker’s suspension will be lifted on November 11, and he could be a late-season addition to a team with an injured or struggling kicker. Health has never been an issue for Tucker, but his performance dipped over the last three years. He made 91.1% of his field goals in his first decade in the NFL; since 2022, he has an 82.7% make rate including a career-low of 73.3% last year.
The difference has been distance. His conversion percentage from 50-plus yards went from 72.7% in his first 10 years to 53.3% in his last three. Teams will want to see that Tucker still has the booming leg that powered him to seven Pro Bowls and five All-Pro teams.
The Ravens, meanwhile, have been satisfied with the early returns on rookie kicker Tyler Loop, who stepped into Tucker’s role this offseason. Loop has made all seven of his field goal attempts to start the year and 14 of his 15 PATs, though his one miss came in the Ravens’ 41-40 Week 1 loss to the Bills.
Oh goodie ! Another sexual pervert will get a chance to play again…what is wrong with this picture people 🙄
Maybe the Browns will sign him too?
Oh good, another pervert back in the NFL.
Here’s what I copied from Google:
“Justin Tucker has not been arrested, but he was suspended for the first 10 weeks of the 2025 NFL season for violating the league’s personal conduct policy due to allegations of sexual misconduct by 16 massage therapists between 2012 and 2016. While the NFL found he violated the policy, Tucker denies the allegations, and no criminal charges have been filed against him. He is currently a free agent and eligible to sign with a team, though he must serve the suspension”
Whether he is a pervert or it was a money grab by the therapists (if I guessed I’d say somewhere in between), Tucker was not arrested, accepted the 10 game suspension, and is free to sign with any team once suspension is over.
It’s funny how so many internet commenters are so quick to judge. I’ll leave all that up to the final judgement.
Do you know how many women are sexually assaulted in this country and never receive justice? Stop with the narrative that this man is innocent or its a money grab ok? Do some research on the subject.
It was well known throughout Tuckers career that this has been an issue and he’s far from innocent. These women won’t receive justice or a dime from any of this. Our justice system doesn’t work well for victims of domestic violence or sexual assault let alone rape…..
I never said he was innocent. I didn’t say he was guilty, either. I don’t know because I wasn’t there.
“Whether he is a pervert or it was a money grab by the therapists (if I guessed I’d say somewhere in between)”
You’d “guess” that it’s between him being a monster and these women lying about it for a pay day. What a ridiculous statement. Law enforcement is extremely fallible and so is our justice system. Be skeptical all you want, but 16 different women saying essentially the same thing is a lot to be incredulous about.
As a follow up comment, only 👍🏻 this comment if you’ve been arrested on false allegations/something you didn’t do.
I’ll go first 👍🏻
When I went to court, the judge called me to the podium, and said “The DA has notified me he’s prepared to drop the charges against you, unless you have any objections”
So people do get wrongly accused. I’m not saying that’s the case with Tucker, but I’m also not gonna call him a pervert.
You should have objected. That way you would have a mental incompetence defense to use the next time you got arrested 🙂
“So people do get wrongly accused.”
The percentage of people in these cases who are falsely accused is very, very low. The percentage of people who are falsely accused by 16 different women is nil. Just say you don’t believe he did anything wrong and stop tip-toeing around it.
I’d say there’s a high probability he did do something wrong. Apparently law enforcement decided he did not commit a crime, or there was not enough evidence to arrest him. The NFL decided it warranted a 10 game suspension. Don’t be so butt hurt that he could kick again in the NFL after his suspension has been served. I could care less one way or the other. You can go ahead and label him a pervert like the first two posters on this thread, that prompted my original comment. He may be a pervert, he may not be. You can judge him if you’d like. I wasn’t there, so I don’t know.
I mean, aside from the suspension for sexual misconduct, he was also terrible last year. (Funny coincidence how star players usually only face serious consequences for such allegations if their play has declined.)
If distance is a problem Tucker’s best hope is the high altitude in Denver where Will Lutz has the job but can be inconsistent. Ideally he would land in Pittsburgh where he could take revenge on the Ravens for dumping him but the Steelers probably have the best kicker in the league with Boswell.
