It’s way too early to figure out the Bears as I’m betting there are more changes coming. They have trade chips ( Kmet, Dexter) And Allen really got stuck playing with a system he really doesn’t like with all the guys he had left over from the previous coach. Yeah they’ve signed some guys who aren’t exactly household names for the D Line but hopefully they’re more Allen types at least. I don’t think Dexter fits Allen’s system either and might bring something nice back. I think with that 1st round pick whether they trade it back or not they get their starting safety and more Allen types for the defense. Bears have the same CB’s they had last year and they’re healthy now so I don’t see what happened last year happening again and they have a lot more speed on defense than they did. They could free up about 100 million bucks for next year depending on what they get this year as long as they don’t panic and renegotiate themselves into a bind this year. They’re going to have to free up some money but as long as they don’t get whacky with Maxx Crosby dreams or guys like that they’ll be fine. They played the toughest schedule last year after finishing last and have the toughest schedule again this year after finishing first and got screwed by Goodell on top of it but they’re still on the right path.
