Johnny Manziel showed his stuff in a Thursday morning audition at the University of San Diego, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com (on Twitter). There were a dozen NFL teams in attendance and multiple people on hand tell Schefter that Manziel looked solid, despite some light rain. 
Manziel is set to participate in the Spring League, which begins on April 7. His overall goal, of course, is to land an NFL contract and he is reportedly willing to accept a practice squad deal with no guaranteed money to prove that he belongs in the league.
The former Browns quarterback and Texas A&M star says that he has his substance abuse problems under control and claims that he has now rededicated himself to football. He has not played in the NFL since the 2015 season, so he has a lot to prove.
In eight career starts for Cleveland, Manziel completed just 57% of his passes for 1,675 yards with a 1:1 touchdown/interception ratio.

You know put him on the Packers practice squad and let him learn for a couple years and see how he lives it would a chance to prove he grew up with saying we give a chance but the rope is very short
He would be picked off by then nobody gets stashed for a few years on a practice squad
You have to be talented and wanted to be picked off practice squad which he is neither. Practice squad roster spots are too valuable to waste on him. The fact that teams try to so call hide players on them shows how valuable practice squad spots can be
I think the browns pollute there own section enough.

He’d be a good back up to Russell Wilson. So, would Colin Kaepernick, but both Kaepernick and Manziel bring the circus to town with them.

It might be an awfully easy way to get the suit dropped. But no, the owners would rather double down on the blacklisting and collusion and not sign Eric Reid, either.
I seem to recall a story about Manziel having discussions with Hamilton Ticats of the CFL. I think his style would be a good fit for the Canadian game but I guess he decided not to compete against the legend of Doug Flutie.
Still a better quarterback than Teddy Bridgewater.
