Denzel Boston is set to be among the busier prospects for the 2026 draft leading up to the event. One of his many scheduled pre-draft visits is set to take place today.
Boston will meet with the Browns, ESPN’s Field Yates notes. That comes as little surprise given the wideout’s draft stock and Cleveland’s positional needs as April approaches. Boston is viewed as a strong candidate to come off the board in the opening round of the draft.
Over the course of his final two seasons at Washington, the big-bodied wideout served as a focal point on offense. Boston totaled 125 catches, 1,715 yards and 20 touchdowns across the 2024 and ’25 seasons. Expectations will be high upon arrival in the NFL. Regular usage in the red zone in particular could allow for Boston to carve out a role during his rookie season, wherever he winds up.
Rebuilding the offensive line has been a clear point of emphasis for the Browns early in free agency. Even with multiple moves taking place on that front, Cleveland could still stand make an early draft investment at the left tackle spot. The same also applies to the receiver position. The Browns own picks No. 6 and 24, so adding at both spots could be a viable path to take.
In that event, Boston could very well be a feasible target. He is currently ranked 25th overall by NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah. Other wideouts like Carnell Tate, Makai Lemon, Jordyn Tyson and Omar Cooper Jr. are also viewed as strong candidates to come off the board during Day 1. Some will likely hear their names called before Boston’s, but the Browns are among the teams which could find themselves in position to select him next month.

Browns to visit Boston?
They’re in Philadelphia.
Yeah. It’s More Than A Feeling
He could fall to the bills which is where he should go
I have a sneaking feeling he goes higher than people are projecting, like maybe in the teens. It’s just so hard to find legit prospects of his size and skill set. He’s not exactly the same style or caliber, but look how high McMillan went last year.
It’s wr loaded and many first round teams have priority needs over WR. Which is why this is the worst year for mock drafts. There could easily be 6 WRs in first round but who even knows. So many teams also need edge rushers and corners too
1) It’s a good receiver class, but Tate won’t make it out of the top 10, Tyson has a troubling injury history, Lemon and Cooper might be slot only, and Concepcion has a troubling drop problem. I like all those guys, but I can see a sure-handed, productive player who can be a true X perimeter threat like Boston going high. And so, so many teams could use one.
2) The edge players have questions too. Reese, Bailey, and Bain should all go in the top 10, and all those guys have questions too. Beyond them, Falk hasn’t shown pass rushing ability, Parker had a bad season, Howell has really short arms, and Mesidor is Kyle Hamilton’s age. After Delane, the corners have serious questions too. The other top one hasn’t played in the past year.
3) It’s not a draft with many blue chip players, so leaning toward a guy who plays a high value position makes sense. Look how much even a merely solid X receiver like Doubs gets paid.
Tyson’s tape will help his stock though. Even the best deal with injuries. Germie Bernard and a slew of others could load up day 2 steals or creep into late first
I like Bernard, but I would be shocked if he went ahead of Boston.
Me too I’m just trying to say alot of WR prospects could go day 2
Absolutely. And my big point is that aside from being one of the best and cleanest receiver prospects in the draft, Boston’s body type and skill set could push him up boards.
I could see that too he has great range and build
Whoever gets him is getting a great WR. Has been great watching his career at UW.
Don’t do it, sir. Stay away.
