Dont’a Hightower To Visit Steelers

Patriots free agent linebacker Dont’a Hightower is scheduled to visit the Steelers, a source tells Adam Schefter of ESPN.com (on Twitter). This will mark Hightower’s third free agent visit. "<strong

Hightower has been making the free agent rounds in recent days, but the Jets and Titans don’t believe he’s serious about leaving New England. The Titans aren’t prime contenders for 2017 and the Jets’ odds of winning this year seem very slim, but the Steelers could hold appeal for Hightower if he is focused on winning another Super Bowl ring. At minimum, this meeting could be enough to scare the Patriots into increasing their offer.

The Steelers are currently projected to start Bud Dupree, Ryan Shazier, Vince Williams, and James Harrison at linebacker. Needless to say, room could be made for a star like Hightower.

Sign with Cleveland. You won enough. Join Collins in living in filth and playing for a constant loser with no hope and no chance of ever winning. Come on Dont’a.

Sure. The Browns always do soooo great with the draft choices. A baseball man choosing football players makes us all feel so good about the direction of this team.

Ohio State would clobber the Browns.

The Steelers were going to draft Hightower until DeCastro slid into their laps.

This is the first time I am actually scared of him signing with a team. I knew the Jets and Titans were just to make the Pats increase their offer but this time I am actually scared that he will want to sign with them. Especially after Timmons left in FA

I think the Steelers are more of a leverage thing than anything else. But then again I don’t think the Pats play the leverage game. Steelers have been really quiet this off season so far and they have cap space that make a nice signing. This would certainly be it and the biggest off season signing in team history

Bettis was a trade. An argument could be made for James Farrior or Jeff Hartings as big signings, at least in recent memory.

I don’t think Farrior came to the Steelers with the track record or Hightower. I think he really made a name for himself once he was with the Steelers.

I like the Steelers. He would nice for the Steelers. It also would be nice for them to add Revis. Bring him back to old stomping grounds. However as a Panthers fan I want Revis.

With Timmons and Jarvis gone this would be a nice addition.
