Martavis Bryant wants out of Pittsburgh. The wide receiver recently requested a trade, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com hears (Twitter link). Rapoport adds that his teammates and coaches are “well aware that he’s unhappy.” 
Bryant was suspended for all of last season after repeated violations of the substance abuse policy. The league granted him full reinstatement in September, allowing him to get back to work with the Steelers. However, he found that his role was downsized this season. After just two catches on Sunday, Bryant is itching to get more targets elsewhere.
Bryant, 25, has only appeared in 27 out of 54 possible regular season games over the course of his career, but he has been productive in his limited action. Heading into this week’s game against the Chiefs, he boasted a career average of 17.3 yards per catch over the last three years.
If the Steelers want to grant Bryant’s request, they’ll have to move quick. The NFL’s trade deadline is on Oct. 31.

Pretty damned ungrateful of Bryant considering. Steelers won’t get much back in a trade.
It’s too bad cause he’s a physical specimen with all the talent in the world. First round talent. If he goes off next week and still wants out the Steelers could get a 3-5 rounder back, maybe second if a team knows his real value. He’s changed and overcome relapse and depression.

His past and inconsistent play make him almost impossible to trade. He has 1st round talent. Maybe talent to warrant more than a 1st. But his numbers are down in part because he drops the ball and I’ve seen him not lay out for multiple passes that could have been big gains. He isn’t reliable on the field, when he’s allowed to be on it.
He won’t be traded. They need him. After AB there’s just Bryant and JuJu. They need all 3.
