Raiders offensive tackle Trent Brown has been accused of domestic violence by girlfriend Diorra Marzette-Sanders in a lawsuit, according to ESPN.com. Marzette-Sanders says she’s been “bruised, bloodied and battered” by the veteran NFL player on multiple occasions.
Brown, meanwhile, denied the allegations in a statement:
“I am aware that my ex-girlfriend has filed a civil suit against me. I deny the claims. They are false. I believe in the court system where I will clear my name. I will not be making any further comment at this time.”
A police report was filed following a June 2019 in which Marzette-Sanders says she was bruised by Brown. Based on that attack, and others dating back to 2018, she says she lived in fear of the 26-year-old.
Brown joined the Raiders on a four-year, $66MM deal this past offseason. To date, he’s started in all five of the Raiders’ 2019 games.

Anyone else ever noticed all of these claims are only civil lawsuits by “ex girlfriends“.
Sure have, but at least in this case there is an actual police report. Whether or not she was telling the truth when speaking to the police remains to be seen.
When are these guys going to realize that alot of the women they meet are just in it for the cash….dunno one way or another, but if you cant take them home to meet your mother, they probably arent worth taking anywhere
I wonder if you took any profession … welder, electrician, teacher, HR professional, police officer, farmer, etc. and took a sampling of males equal to the number of players in the NFL if the percentage of employees accused of domestic abuse/assault would be the same?

Varlamov (Avs goalie) was accused and had his name cleared completely as far as I know.
They don’t ever run the story prominently about the guy’s whose names are cleared I feel.
I remember reading a story about the NHL having players who engage in domestic abuse or fights more than the national average but I read that like 10 years ago. As for the NFL fivethirtyeight has an article titled “The Rate of Domestic Violence Arrests Among NFL Players” that probably has your answer.
As a Criminal Defense attorney-obviously withhold judgment. The way the claims materialized, ie , civil no arrests. It looks to be posturing for a battle re kid.
Are NHL players battling for kids. Never seems to show up in the feed.
