Terrelle Pryor has improved from critical to stable condition, but more details have emerged on the incident that led to his hospitalization.
The free agent wide receiver was arrested and charged with simple assault, according to WPXI. A 24-year-old woman, Shalaya Briston, was charged with criminal attempt homicide and aggravated assault, according to the Pittsburgh TV station.
Pryor, 30, was stabbed in the shoulder and chest and underwent surgery Saturday morning. The incident took place at the Heinz Lofts apartment complex in Pittsburgh, and police were seen in the area. The former Ohio State star quarterback suffered artery damage and will be in the hospital until at least Sunday morning, Josina Anderson of ESPN.com tweets.
Pryor grew up in Jeannette, Pa., and starred in both football and basketball at Jeannette High School.

Idk maybe she came at him w a knife, stabbed him a couple times and he knocked her out. That’s kinda what it sounds like it would be, she’s got the homicide charge, and his charges which probably existed because she was so jacked up, will probably be dropped.
She wouldn’t have charge with criminal attempted homicide if he attacked her. Be interesting to see what the real story is.

Einstein, if he was at fault she never would have been charged with aggravated assault and criminal homicide. Those are charges that are filed when you are the aggressor in the attack had you known anything about this you would have known that.
if they were sure he was at fault here and that the reaction was reasonable then they wouldn’t have both been charged.

TMZ Sports obtained the court docs with witness accounts of the incident and it’s insane — essentially saying Pryor and Briston got into a huge fight earlier that night that turned explosive.
A witness told cops … Pryor, Briston and friends had gone out to dinner and drinks when the couple — who have been dating for about a year — began arguing.
Briston and her friends went to the club and Pryor went home — but when the group got back to Pryor’s place after partying, he was waiting in the hallway pissed off.
One female witness — a friend of Briston — told cops Pryor knocked her to the ground and began physically fighting with Briston.
The witness says Pryor and Briston “locked up” and “began to tussle.”
The fight spilled into the apartment and into the kitchen — and the next thing the witness saw was Pryor clutching his chest and bleeding.
Briston and her 3 female friends drove Pryor to the hospital where he was treated for VERY serious injuries.
In the docs, one officer says the female witness was voice texting into her watch and was overheard saying, “She was just defending herself and had to do it.”
She added, “The only reason I’m here was to make sure that he didn’t die” and “We should have just let him die.””
