Steelers To Sign Eric Ebron

The Steelers are signing tight end Eric Ebron to a two-year deal worth $12MM, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport (on Twitter). It’s a relatively low-risk pickup that could pay big dividends for Ben Roethlisberger & Co.

Ebron, a former first-round pick, struggled early on in his career with the Lions. In 2018, he caught his second wind with the Colts. However, the team decided against re-signing him this offseason.

In ’18, Ebron got the drops under control and managed a 13-touchdown season with 66 catches for 750 yards. But, without quarterback Andrew Luck, Ebron was far less productive in 2019. The soon-to-be 27-year-old had just 31 grabs for 375 yards and three scores before landing on IR in late November with an ankle injury.

Then, there was drama. The Colts said they were not aware of Ebron having a serious ankle problem. Ebron fired back and issued a statement saying that the team knew about his severe pain since the start of the season.

The fences weren’t mended, and Ebron is moving on to Pittsburgh.

I like the pick up, Vance has shown nothing while a Steeler so hopefully this pays off.

This was who I was hoping they would get! Now draft a running back who has the greatest ability, availability!

Hoping for JK Dobbins or Taylor.

Thinking both will be gone tho since Tampa now looks to take Swift rather early

Steelers offense looks pretty good if healthy next year. Conner, Ben, Juju, Diontae Johnson, Ebron could be fun

Yep Steelers passing game is now maxed out. Ppl sleeping on their receivers but Johnson and Washington looked like killers last year.

Juju will prove hes a #1. Had a rough year with injury and QB but everyones favorite little brother has a dynamic game and massive potential

Ryan Pace paid Jimmy Grahams corpse more than Ebron. That is the way for the poor Bears.

Was an exciting player for Indy. For every jaw dropping one handed grab, expect five doinks off his hands.

Prepare for many, many dropped passes. Ben wont accept this guys butter fingers.

For only 6 mil per year this is a bargain signing for a player with proven ability. Makes the bears Graham signing look even worse.
Would’ve liked to have seen Ebron join the Packers and link up with Rodgers Jones and Adams but the Steelers should be a nice fit
