Bengals To Sign Riley Reiff

The Bengals have agreed to sign former Vikings left tackle Riley Reiff, as Jay Morrison of The Athletic tweets. Terms of the deal are not yet known.

Reiff has never made a Pro Bowl or All-Pro team, but he’s been a solid starter for much of his career. The move to Cincinnati could force a change of positions — Jonah Williams is set to start at left tackle, so Reiff could wind up on the opposite side. He could also be kicked to the interior, which was rumored to be the plan at various times in Minnesota.

The Bengals started free agency with a defensive spending spree, but they’re also looking to fortify the front five. Reiff may help to keep Joe Burrow upright and healthy after his devastating ACL/MCL injury in 2020. There’s still more work to be done in that area — fortunately, the Bengals have plenty of draft capital to bolster the OL.

No. They need all the Oline help they can get. They now also need a K and a replacement for the loss of 3 WR.

It’s not locked in they’ll draft Sewell from the get go whether he’s there at 5 or someone trades up or they Bengal the pick and go DB like they love to do. Gotta remember who’s making the pick, they’ve had more misses on day 1 than hits the last few years

Move Reiff to the inside, draft Sewell to play LT, move Williams to RT and you’ve got a significantly upgraded line. Watch out, Bengals can be pretty dangerous on offense next year

No!!! Does this signal the beginning of the end for the great annual pro-bowl and all-pro snub Bobby Hart?

They won’t need to “go get” him. He’ll be there at 5 with the stockpile of QB talent and QB-needy teams in the league.

I bet they’ll trade back 2-3 spots, acquire picks, and still get their guy (Sewell, Slater, or Pitts/WR).
