A player mentioned as a possible first-rounder will head to Dallas. Trevon Diggs went off the board to the Cowboys at No. 51, potentially filling a big need area for the team.
The younger brother of Stefon Diggs, Trevon would appear to be Dallas’ top offseason effort to replace Byron Jones.
Trevon Diggs did not post big stats while at Alabama — only accumulating 68 tackles in four seasons — but the 6-foot-1 talent was viewed as one of this draft’s top prospects nonetheless.
The Cowboys return rookie-contract corners Chidobe Awuzie and Jourdan Lewis, and Diggs should be expected to challenge for a starting spot as a rookie. Both Awuzie and Lewis are entering contract years, making it all the more important for Dallas to stock up at corner.
Rest of the draft should interesting. Hurts seemed like a likely pick if he was there later. Maybe they go Eason. The need to grab another DB and DE. Wouldn’t hurt to grab a C/G too.

Great second round pick. They don’t need a center they have McGovern. They need to find Sean Lee eventually replacement.
Sean Lee plays strong side linebacker. In the Cowboys defensive scheme that position doesn’t play many snaps. I’d look at Eason and then pass rush help.
DE or S are the biggest remaining needs.
OK great information. I thought Lee was the MLB and Jayden Smith and Vander Esh was either outside LBs since they have more speed than Lee to cover guys on the outside.
Man I didn’t like any of their day 3 picks. Reggie & Anae were decent, but I liked other options more (Ojemudia & Willekes). Didn’t see the reason to trade up for Biadasz when you have Looney and McGovern (both of which are C/G versatile & they just used a 3rd on McGovern). Was hoping they’d get a DE or Safety instead of Biadasz. Defintely would’ve preferred Montez over DiNucci in the 7th if you are adamant about taking a QB. Wish they would’ve signed UDFA TE Moss from LSU. Now hoping they go ahead and sign Montez as an UDFA as well as OT Steele from Texas Tech to get some depth for when Tyron eventually has to sit a couple games.
