Jaguars owner Shad Khan isn’t happy with the current state of the team. Still, he says that he won’t rush to make any decisions on the future of head coach Urban Meyer.

“I want to do the right thing for the team. I want to do the right thing for the city,” Khan said (via ESPN.com). “That, to me, is way more important than just acting helter-skelter on emotion. I think we have a history of really looking at the facts and then really doing the right thing.
“Gus Bradley was here four years. Doug Marrone was here four years. It was wins and losses and this is a little bit different but, you know, I’m going to reflect on all of that and do what’s the right thing for the team and the right thing for the city.”
The Jaguars are 2-11 after getting shut out by the Titans for their fifth straight loss. Earlier this week, Khan met with coaches to reaffirm his confidence in them while imploring them to get the locker room in order. This comes after a string of reports citing discord between Meyer, his assistants, and several veterans on the roster.
“I’m not impulsive,” Khan told reporters. “I learned that a long time ago with anything that’s this important. You don’t want to be impulsive. You want to look at exactly what I know firsthand or people are telling me and then collect that and do the right thing.”
The Jaguars will look to get back in the win column on Sunday against the Texans. They last met in the season opener, a 37-21 win for Houston.

So is your website going to post an article about NFL requiring boosters now or nah?
“If they do not receive the booster, those employees will lose this vaccination status, which is a requirement from the league for employees of the Tier 1 and 2 designation.”

I was just a tad too late.
Owner no fool….wait Urban out. He’ll resign….he’s obviously miserable….but he’d rather be fired and cash checks for years
If Urban isn’t their guy than they have to fire him. The last thing you want to do is potentially stunt Lawrence’s development. If you’re waiting for Urban to quit, you’re wasting time that Trevor could be learning a new system. You only keep Urban if you believe he can do the job you hired him to do.
He should be gone yesterday. He is incapable of coaching this team. His lack of sportsmanship after Sunday’s game is inexcusable.
Khan is incapable of making any right decisions, but I guess that’s Florida for you.
Khan is right, but in this case, the choice is very clear. Meyer was the wrong option, and everyone but Khan believed it. This is not an impulsive decision so much as it is decisive action, in this particular case. Being patient is good-you don’t want to be David Tepper-but you must also have a standard that’s being worked toward.
Meyer may be allowed to have a few rookie mistakes here and there or time to build a good roster in a reasonable world. His problems, however, run much deeper than that and are much more serious. They also don’t seem to be correcting themselves. Khan would be right most of the time, but Meyer is clearly a train wreck. Of course, this is all assuming that Khan actually believes all that and is not simply trying to avoid, you know, paying out that massive, idiotic contract…
Only 70+ games under 500 Shad, keep being patient. And keep the tarps out. NF is tired of you.
Basically, he’s saying not to expect an in-season firing. He’ll probably be gone on Monday January 10th.
Urban Meyer is apparently a jackass, unfit to be a leader or coach since his behavior is erratic and bordering on paranoia. He needs professional help.
