Redskins Sign Tracy Porter

SATURDAY, 9:56am: The deal is official and worth $6MM for two years, according to’s Ian Rapoport (via Twitter).

THURSDAY, 12:52pm: The Redskins have agreed to terms with free agent cornerback Tracy Porter, according to Dianna Marie Russini of NBC Washington (on Twitter). The news was confirmed by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network (on Twitter).

Porter, 27, also met with the Giants this week but it appears that he’ll be suiting up for their divisional rival instead. The veteran was one of the few bright spots for the Raiders last season. While Oakland was starting to build a reputation as a hard-nosed defensive team, they were downright porous at times in 2013.

One of the bright spots? He was ranked 106th out of 110 corners in coverage. Might want to do some research before saying things like that.
