Lawyers for Robert Kraft are taking steps to keep surveillance video allegedly showing the Patriots owner engaging in sexual activity out of court, as Deadspin’s Diana Moskovitz writes. Kraft’s attorneys are also looking to attack the traffic stop that occurred outside of the Orchids of Asia Day Spa.

Kraft’s lawyers will argue that the video, which was filmed without Kraft’s knowledge or consent, violated legal standards. And, if the traffic stop is also effectively whitewashed, there won’t be much of a case for Florida prosecutors to make.
Recently, Kraft rejected a plea deal that would have called for him to admit that he would have been found guilty in a court setting. Meanwhile, the NFL is keeping a watchful eye on the case. This week, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell confirmed that the league’s personal conduct policy will apply to Kraft just as it applies to players.
Goodell stopped short of declaring Kraft will be suspended, but that remains a possibility for the billionaire owner.

The point is that it is illegal where he did it, and he specifically chose a cheap place that employs sex slaves to do it. No one is stopping billionaire Robert Kraft from going to a place where it’s legal and regulated. You Kraft ball washers are ridiculous. He broke the law and he’s a billionaire. He does not deserve sympathy or public defense.

I think they said there is no sex trafficking in this case. There are certainly no sex trafficking charges against anyone.

Who said anything about Jussie or Chicago, which is one case? I could list off a ream of rich conservatives who have gotten abnormally light sentences or no sentence at all. It’s all about the money. Politics doesn’t matter. If you’re rich, you can be conservative or liberal and it’s still a different legal system than the poor have. It’s ‘insane’ to assert otherwise.

When you declare your innocence AND refuse to allow people to see the evidence that would clear you (if you were actually innocent)…it’s pretty clear to the world that you are not innocent.
So, if the charges get dropped because they can’t use the video or the traffic stop as evidence (used to be called “getting off on a technicality”), and I’m willing to bet that’s a serious possibility, it will be interesting to see how the NFL handles the discipline. Kraft’s lawyer(s) have made it obvious they have no intent of proving him not guilty, just of removing any evidence that might convict him.

The American constitution gives everyone the right to examine evidence against them and assure themselves that it was obtained in a legal manner. That Kraft has his lawyers protecting that right does not make him guilty nor does it indicate that any “whitewash” is taking place.
