11:58am: The Giants have confirmed their agreement with Herzlich and also announced in a press release that they’ve re-signed fullback Henry Hynoski. Hynoski is considered one of the league’s best blocking fullbacks, ranking second in the category in 2014, according to Pro Football Focus’ grades (subscription required).
Herzlich, 27, didn’t have a significant role on defense for the Giants in 2013, playing just 194 snaps. However, this past season, he wound up making eight starts for the Giants. In significant time at both Sam and Will linebacker, Herzlich recorded 52 total tackles, two pass deflections, one fumble recovery, and one sack.
