Titans Waive OL Bobby Hart, DL Amani Bledsoe
The Titans moved on from two players today. The team announced that they’ve waived offensive lineman Bobby Hart and defensive lineman Amani Bledsoe.
Hart has managed to stick around the NFL for seven seasons despite being selected in the seventh round of the 2015 draft. The lineman started 21 games for the Giants between the 2015 and 2017 seasons, and he later started 45 games (of 46 appearances) for the Bengals between 2018 and 2020. Hart was released by the Bengals back in March, and he’s spent most of the 2021 campaign on the Bills and Dolphins practice squad.
The 27-year-old joined the Titans back in October, and he started a game for the team while filling in for injured offensive tackles Taylor Lewan and Kendall Lamm. Hart ultimately saw time in three total games during his stint in Tennessee.
Bledsoe joined the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma in 2019, and after starting four of his 14 games with the Bengals in 2020, he returned to the Titans (via the practice squad) back in September. The 23-year-old saw time in five games (two starts) for the Titans this season, collecting a single tackle.

Titans Place Julio Jones On IR
The hamstring injury Julio Jones has battled this season will cost him three more games. The Titans placed the standout wide receiver on IR Saturday.
Jones suffered a setback in practice Thursday, Tom Pelissero of NFL.com tweets. This continues an injury-plagued season for the recently relocated wide receiver. Jones has missed three games already this year and has a history of hamstring trouble.
The injury issues Jones encountered last year resulted in a lesser trade market, but the Falcons still collected a second-round pick from the Titans. Jones, 32, has yet to deliver for a Tennessee team that has managed to reach 7-2 despite frequent injury concerns. A.J. Brown has missed time, and Derrick Henry is now out for an extended stretch — perhaps the rest of the regular season.
Jones, 32, has caught 21 passes for 336 yards and no touchdowns in his first Titans season. He has not been able to consistently display the top form he showed in Atlanta and is now sidelined until at least Week 14. These issues come after a 2020 season in which Jones also experienced a hamstring injury and subsequent setbacks. Jones’ final Falcons season included a strained left hamstring in Week 2 and three ensuing aggravations, leading to seven missed games.
With Tennessee’s bye in Week 13, this will give Jones a month off. That could make a difference for the 11th-year receiver, who will miss games against the Saints, Texans and Patriots. The Titans sit atop the AFC and are clearly hoping this hiatus will produce a better version of Jones when he returns in mid-December.

Rams Tried To Claim WR Josh Reynolds
The Rams made an attempt to acquire one of their former wideouts. Los Angeles placed a claim on wide receiver Josh Reynolds, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler (via Twitter). Reynolds ended up getting claimed by the Lions thanks to their top waiver position.
The 2017 fourth-round pick spent the first four seasons of his career with the Rams. He finally emerged in 2020, hauling in 52 receptions for 618 yards and two touchdowns. However, Reynolds was never going to have a shot at cracking the top of the Rams depth chart, and he ended up joining the Titans this offseason.
Reynolds’ signing came before the team traded for Julio Jones, and the FA acquisition was buried on the depth chart by the start of the season. The 26-year-old only saw time in five games this year with Tennessee, hauling in 10 receptions for 90 yards. He only appeared in five offensive snaps in Week 8 before not playing in Week 9. Reynolds asked for and was granted his release by the Titans earlier this week.
Now, the wideout will team up with his former QB, Jared Goff. However, he could have rejoined former teammates Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods. 2020 second-round pick Van Jefferson has stepped up with Reynolds out of the picture in Los Angeles, hauling in 27 receptions for 433 yards and three touchdowns.

Titans WR Josh Reynolds Granted Release
Another wideout is set to hit the waiver wire. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports (via Twitter) that the Titans have cut wideout Josh Reynolds. The player asked for (and was granted) his release.
Following a career year in 2020, Reynolds joined the Titans on a one-year deal in March. However, his signing came before the team traded for Julio Jones, and Reynolds was buried on the depth chart by the start of the season. The 26-year-old has only seen time in five games this season, hauling in 10 receptions for 90 yards. He only saw five offensive snaps in Week 8 before not playing in Week 9.
The 2017 fourth-round pick spent the first four seasons of his career with the Rams. He finally emerged in 2020, hauling in 52 receptions for 618 yards and two touchdowns. There’s a good chance he’ll find an opportunity to resume his NFL career elsewhere.
While Reynolds was already buried on the depth chart, the Titans could conceivably look to promote Dez Fitzpatrick or Mason Kinsey from the practice squad.
Multiple Teams Were Interested In Adrian Peterson; Derrick Henry Done For Year?
Veteran running back Adrian Peterson signed with the Titans this week after the team placed stud RB Derrick Henry on IR. And though his audition with Tennessee was the first time we heard anything on Peterson since July, there was apparently a fair amount of interest in his services.
Per Adam Schefter of ESPN.com, the Ravens, Raiders, Bills, Falcons, and Dolphins all expressed interest in Peterson, the three-time NFL rushing leader. Peterson also says Dancing with the Stars — which has made a habit of casting current and former NFLers — made him an offer in September, an offer that he declined because he believed he would have the opportunity to sign with Baltimore.
The Ravens lost their top three RBs before the season even started, and they ended up signing veterans Latavius Murray, Devonta Freeman, and Le’Veon Bell to help fill the void, so Peterson was right to think that he might get a shot in Baltimore. That obviously didn’t happen, but the future Hall-of-Famer will get a prime opportunity with Tennessee.
At 6-2, the Titans are currently at the top of the AFC standings, so Peterson will immediately get some action for a playoff contender, something he did not get to experience over the last three seasons (he spent 2018-19 with the Washington Football Team and 2020 with the Lions). Of course, losing Henry — the engine that makes Tennessee’s offense run, with all due respect to A.J. Brown and Ryan Tannehill — could seriously undermine the club’s chances at securing a first-round bye.
Speaking of Henry, Schefter passes along some bad news for Titans fans. The last report on Henry’s foot injury suggested that he might be back as soon as Week 15, or at least in time for the playoffs, but one source tells ESPN that it would be very surprising if Henry were able to return at all this season.
Without Henry, the Titans will forge ahead with Peterson, Jeremy McNichols, and D’Onta Foreman.
