Packers' John Kuhn Remains Unsigned
- With one week to go before the start of the Packers‘ offseason program, veteran fullback John Kuhn remains unsigned, as Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com writes. Agent Kevin Gold says he is still waiting to hear whether the Packers will re-sign Kuhn or instead roll with second-year player Aaron Ripkowski. In 2015, the Packers did not re-up Kuhn until April 13th, so it’s possible that he could still be in the mix for 2016.
Titans Claim Nate Palmer
The Titans have claimed linebacker Nate Palmer, as Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com tweets. Palmer was waived by the Packers late last week. 
Palmer, a sixth-round pick in 2013, saw a little playing time during his rookie season before spending the entire 2014 campaign on the injured reserve list. In 2015, he earned a starting job at inside linebacker, but ultimately ceded playing time to rookie Jake Ryan before the year was over. In 16 games (10 starts) last season, Palmer compiled 64 tackles, a sacks, and a pair of passes defended.
Palmer now joins Wesley Woodyard, Avery Williamson, and offseason pickup Sean Spence on the Titans’ depth chart at inside linebacker.
By cutting Palmer, Green Bay reduced his cap number from about $700K to just $25K in dead money. The Titans have now picked Palmer up for the final year of his low-scale rookie deal.

Packers Looking At WR/KR Devin Fuller
- UCLA wide receiver and return man Devin Fuller has several visits and workouts left on his schedule, tweets Rand Getlin of the NFL Network. Per Getlin, the Dolphins, Packers, and Chargers are among the teams that will get a close look at Fuller.
Robby Anderson To Visit Packers
- Wide receiver Robby Anderson will visit the Packers, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel tweets. The Temple target who ran a 4.3-second 40-yard dash at the Owls’ pro day visited the Browns, Dolphins and Eagles recently.
Packers Waive Nate Palmer
SATURDAY, 8:55am: The move is official, according to the team’s website.
FRIDAY, 4:07pm: The Packers have parted ways with a player who started 10 games for them last season, according to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, who tweets that the team has cut inside linebacker Nate Palmer. Because he has less than four years of service time, Palmer will have to pass through waivers before he becomes a free agent.

In spite of their willingness to let go of Palmer, the Packers aren’t particularly deep at inside linebacker, having frequently used Clay Matthews there, rather than at his natural outside linebacker spot, in recent years. Although Ryan, Sam Barrington, Joe Thomas Jr., and others will be in the mix for playing time at ILB for the Packers, the team figures to address the position at some point in the draft.

Packers A First-Round Fit For Jaylon Smith?
If Notre Dame linebacker Jaylon Smith gets good news on his medical re-check later this month, his chances of going in the first round of the draft will increase significantly, writes Charlie Campbell of WalterFootball.com. Campbell lists the Bengals, Chiefs, Packers, Texans and Vikings as potential landing spots for Smith, who is on the mend from a torn ACL and MCL that he suffered on New Year’s Day during the Fiesta Bowl. Prior to that catastrophic end to his college career, Smith was seen as a surefire first-rounder – and a high one at that – but his status has been in question since. February’s combine didn’t help matters for Smith, who reportedly failed multiple teams’ physicals.
Aaron Colvin, Others Suspended Four Games
Friday afternoons in the NFL offseason are often when the league announces suspensions for the coming season, and today is no exception. After the Falcons confirmed today that cornerback Jalen Collins has been banned four games for violating the league’s PED policy, several other suspensions were announced as well. Here’s the breakdown:
- Jaguars CB Aaron Colvin: Four-game suspension for violating PED policy (link via ESPN’s Michael DiRocco).
- Packers CB Demetri Goodson: Four-game suspension for violating PED policy (Twitter link via Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel).

Of those three players, Colvin is the most notable — he started 15 games for the Jaguars last season, compiling 73 tackles, four sacks, a forced fumble, and seven passes defended. With the 24-year-old out to open the season, the Jaguars will be leaning heavily on newly-signed CB Prince Amukamara.
Goodson was primarily a special-teamer for the Packers in 2015, while Turzili caught just two balls in three games for the Titans.
