Agnew’s time in Atlanta has come to an end after 11 appearances with his third career team. The veteran did not see any usage on offense, but he handled 45 total returns between kickoffs and punts this season. Agnew totaled 855 yards in that capacity, but he will now hit the waiver wire. Provided he clears, the 30-year-old will become a free agent.
The same is true of Tuttle. A veteran of 105 games, he has made just one start so far this season. Tuttle has only handled a 25% snap share on defense, so he is unlikely to generate much interest as a free agent. Nevertheless, a depth role could await him on a contender down the stretch.

Dort becomes Arizona’s 26th placement on injures reserve this year. The Cardinals’ receiving corps has been stretched thin with Marvin Harrison Jr. out with a heel injury and Zay Jones on injured reserve with an injured Achilles tendon.
Earning more and more responsibility over the course of his sophomore campaign, former undrafted free agent Roland-Wallace will unfortunately head to IR after starting in the Chiefs’ two most recent contests. As a roaming safety, he’s been functioning lately as a nickelback alongside the versatile pair of starting safeties behind him.
With Bosa set to miss this weekend’s game with a hamstring injury, Fox has been called up from the practice squad in Buffalo to help bolster a thin group of defensive ends.
Smyth gets the call again this week as the primary placekicker in New Orleans. He’ll be kicking in his second straight game following the team’s dismissal of Blake Grupe.
For Spector in Buffalo, this will be his third elevation this season, meaning the Bills will need to sign him to the active roster in order for him to appear in another game in 2025. The same is true of Turner in Denver, Hanson in Kansas City, and Banks in Tampa Bay. On the other side of that, Tindall in Arizona, Lewis in Jacksonville, and Cook in New York were all signed to 53-man rosters today after they used up their three allotted practice squad elevations.

The Vikings brought back Desmond Ridder as quarterback insurance with J.J. McCarthy concussed. Ridder joined the team’s practice squad, and he will not dress for Minnesota tomorrow. Instead, it will be Wolford handling backup duties while undrafted rookie Max Brosmer makes his first career start.
Diggs returned to Seattle earlier this week. The veteran will receive the opportunity to play right away during his second stint with the Seahawks. Diggs earned three Pro Bowl nods during his first run in Seattle, and he will look to provide depth in the secondary with a familiar team down the stretch.
Vikings Activate C Ryan Kelly From IR
Vikings center Ryan Kelly will return in Week 12. The team announced that it has activated Kelly from IR. He’ll head into Sunday’s game against the NFC North rival Packers without an injury designation.
Kelly spent his first nine NFL seasons in Indianapolis, where he started in all 121 appearances and made four Pro Bowls. He left for Minnesota’s two-year, $18MM offer last March.
Two concussions have limited Kelly to three games in his first season with the Vikings. They placed him on IR after his second head injury knocked him out of a Week 4 loss to the Steelers. Blake Brandel started in his absence.
Between Kelly’s concussion issues and starting quarterback J.J. McCarthy‘s high ankle sprain earlier this season, the two haven’t had much chance to form a rapport in 2025. They paired together in the Vikings’ season-opening win over Chicago and their Week 2 loss to Atlanta. Carson Wentz was under center against Pittsburgh.
Kelly and McCarthy will reunite Sunday in an enormous game for two teams trying to keep pace with the NFC North-leading Bears (7-3). The 6-3-1 Packers are nipping at the Bears’ heels, but the 4-6 Vikings can ill afford another loss after Chicago knocked them off last week.
In addition to activating Kelly, the Vikings signed cornerback Dwight McGlothern to their practice squad and elevated him for Sunday’s game. They released running back Cam Akers from the practice squad to make room.
The Vikings quickly brought back McGlothern after waiving him on Thursday. He has played in eight of Minnesota’s games this year and totaled 47 snaps (31 on defense, 16 on special teams). Akers has made three appearances with the Vikings this season and rushed for 19 yards on five carries.

Today’s minor moves:
Detroit Lions
- Designated for return from IR: CB Khalil Dorsey
Minnesota Vikings
- Waived: CB Dwight McGlothern
It’s encouraging to learn that Lions cornerback Khalil Dorsey is back on the practice field. The player broke his leg towards the end of the 2024 campaign but was able to work his way back for the start of the 2025 season. After getting into the first four games, Dorsey was sidelined with a concussion, and as he worked his way through protocol, he suffered a wrist injury that landed him on IR. The former UDFA has appeared in 37 career games, collecting 31 tackles and three passes defended. He’s also seen some time as a returner.
Vikings Sign 17 UDFAs
With the draft in the rearview mirror, teams are bringing in undrafted free agents. The Vikings added 17 players to their offseason roster via the UDFA route; here is Minnesota’s class:
- Matt Cindric, OL (Cal)
- K.J. Cloyd, LB (Miami)
- Jeremy Flax, OL (Kentucky)
- Dallas Gant, LB (Toledo)
- Devron Harper, WR (Mercer)
- Ty James, WR (Mercer)
- Jeshaun Jones, WR (Maryland)
- Trey Knox, TE (South Carolina)
- Tyler Manoa, DL (Arizona)
- Donovan Manuel, LB (Florida International)
- Dwight McGlothern, CB (Arkansas)
- Gabriel Murphy, EDGE (UCLA)
- Doug Nester, OL (West Virginia)
- Owen Porter, EDGE (Marshall)
- Bo Richter, EDGE (Air Force)
- Spencer Rolland, OL (North Carolina)
- Taki Taimani, DL (Oregon)
Not exactly a hotbed for NFL talent, Mercer will send two wide receivers to the same team. These two pass catchers are the second and third Mercer products to land an NFL opportunity in the past decade. James is the Division I-FCS program’s all-time receiving leader; he earned first-team All-American honors in 2023. The former Georgia recruit surpassed 1,100 receiving yards in each of the past two seasons, adding 20 receiving TDs. Operating as an all-purpose player, Harper combined for four return scores for the Bears. Harper set a school record with 78 grabs alongside James last season.
ESPN’s Scouts Inc. ranked Knox as this draft class’ No. 205 overall prospect; he is heading to Minneapolis after five college seasons (the recent norm for UDFAs due to the COVID-19 waiver). After four seasons at Arkansas, Knox transferred to South Carolina. He caught 37 passes for 312 yards and two TDs last season. Murphy was part of UCLA’s Laiatu Latu-led edge-rushing contingent. After a 7.5-sack 2021 season, he registered eight — along with 16 tackles for loss — last year. Murphy will attempt to make a Vikings team that is revamping on the edge, bringing in Jonathan Greenard and first-rounder Dallas Turner after losing Danielle Hunter, D.J. Wonnum and Marcus Davenport.
Gant is a former four-star recruit who transferred from Ohio State, earning first-team All-MAC honors after heading north to Toledo. Rolland — a Harvard transfer — started as one of Drake Maye‘s pass protectors for the past two seasons, while Cindric started 17 games at center and 17 more at guard at Cal.
