Jaguars Planning London Move?
Could the Jaguars turn their one yearly game in London to a full-fledged move? That’s the master plan, according to a former employee of owner Shad Khan. 
Former assistant director of football Craig Kline alleges that Khan told him to keep quiet over his plans to buy Wembley Stadium and move the Jaguars to London in 2022. (via The Telegraph). Khan is on the verge of purchasing the iconic stadium for $792.5MM, but the club denies any planned move.
“This is nothing more than the same ongoing nonsense and bogus claims made by a former employee who left the club in 2017. Nothing here merits a further response,” Khan spokesman Jim Woodcock said.
Meanwhile, a separate report from the Daily Mail suggests that Khan is exploring a scenario in which the Jaguars play their home games in London, but remain based out of Jacksonville for tax purposes. The workaround, in theory, would allow Khan and his players to avoid pricey UK taxes.
Even if that is true, it’s far from certain that the NFL, the state of Florida, and the city of Jacksonville would be on board with the proposal. Finances aside, the idea of a team playing eight games in London – or even four – would present a logistical travel nightmare for the teams playing against the Jaguars.

Jaguars To Meet With Ereck Flowers
Former Giants tackle Ereck Flowers cleared waivers on Wednesday and will visit the Jaguars on Thursday, a source tells Adam Schefter of ESPN.com (on Twitter). Schefter hears that other teams are also interested in Flowers and want him to visit after he’s done in Jacksonville. 
The Giants waived the former first-round pick on Tuesday after they were unable to find a suitable trade for him. The lack of trade interest was not a surprise – Flowers has yet to do much of anything at the pro level and any club willing to take a flier on him was unwilling to absorb the final year of his rookie contract.
Still, the 6’6″, 329-pound tackle holds promise, and other teams are interested in seeing what he can do, particularly given the dearth of quality tackles available. In theory, a positional change could also suit Flowers, and he wouldn’t be the first mediocre tackle to find success at guard.
Flowers’ history with Jaguars football czar Tom Coughlin may have something to do with the club’s interest in him. Coughlin coached Flowers in his rookie season with the Giants before he was ousted in January of 2016.

Jaguars To Sign Jamaal Charles
The Jaguars have agreed to sign running back Jamaal Charles, a source tells ESPN.com’s Adam Schefter (on Twitter). Charles will give Jacksonville another backfield option while star Leonard Fournette recovers from a hamstring ailment. To make room, the club is releasing backup running back Brandon Wilds.
Charles, 32 in December, is admittedly not the player that he once was. The veteran had some brilliant seasons in Kansas City, including a 2010 campaign in which he ran for 1,467 yards and averaged 6.4 yards per carry, but he has not topped 1,000 yards since his 2014 season with the Chiefs. Injuries and time have slowed Charles, but the Jaguars believe that he has enough juice to help hold down the fort while Fournette is out.
Charles is not necessarily ticketed for a giant workload while Fournette is sidelined – the top job is expected to remain in T.J. Yeldon‘s grasp. Still, Charles has a clear path to playing time for at least one week.
The Jaguars recently lost Corey Grant to a season-ending Lisfranc injury, so the signing of Charles and the release of Wilds leaves the club with just two healthy running backs. It’s likely that another RB will be added to the mix, and it will have to be an outsider as there are no RBs on the Jags’ taxi squad.
Jamaal Charles To Work Out For Jaguars
The Jaguars are in need of help at running back, and they’re considering two former Chiefs for support. Jamaal Charles and Charcandrick West will work out for the team on Tuesday, according to Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero of NFL.com (on Twitter). 
Starter Leonard Fournette has missed multiple games this year with a nagging hamstring issue and no one knows when he’ll be able to return. Meanwhile, backup running back Corey Grant has been ruled out for the year with a Lisfranc injury.
Charles made it through the 2017 campaign healthy — which was an accomplishment in and of itself — but aside from that, it was not an especially memorable season for the 31-year-old. The two-time All-Pro, who was one of the most exciting players in the league before being plagued by extensive knee trouble, racked up just 69 carries for the Broncos last year, and while he led all Denver ball-carriers with a 4.3 YPC average, he was a healthy scratch to close out the year and was frustrated with his lack of playing time. He was linked to the Redskins in August, but we haven’t heard his name mentioned in recent weeks.
The Chiefs released West earlier this year, and although he subsequently latched on with the Jets, he lasted less than a month in New York before getting cut again. The 27-year-old’s most productive campaign came in 2015, when he managed 160 carries for 634 yards and four touchdowns, but his rushing role with Kansas City had been greatly reduced in recent seasons. While he played more than 500 offensive snaps from 2016-17, West handled only 106 total carries, including just 18 last year. West worked out for the Bucs earlier this month, but left Tampa without a deal.
Jaguars Expected To Sign RB David Williams Off Broncos’ Practice Squad
Leonard Fournette is out because of a persistent hamstring problem, and the Jaguars just received news Corey Grant is going to miss the rest of the season. They plan to look outside to patch up this situation.
The Jags intend to sign David Williams off the Broncos’ practice squad, Ryan O’Halloran of the Denver Post reports (on Twitter). The Broncos selected Williams in the seventh round of this year’s draft out of Arkansas.
Williams did not make Denver’s 53-man roster, seeing Phillip Lindsay quickly usurp him en route to the team’s 53-man unit. The Broncos cut both Williams and De’Angelo Henderson after preseason play. Henderson landed on the Jets’ practice squad, and Williams stayed in Denver on the Broncos’ 10-man taxi squad.
Jacksonville currently has T.J. Yeldon and recent practice squad promotion Brandon Wilds as its only healthy backs. Williams would add a third name to that contingent. Fournette remains on the active roster but is expected to miss more time.
