Titans Work Out LSU DB Deion Jones
- LSU linebacker Deion Jones has already visited the Saints, Ravens, and Jets, according to Rand Getlin of NFL.com (on Twitter). Jones is now set to visit the Eagles and Colts this week. He also had solo workouts with the 49ers, Dolphins, Titans, Lions, Falcons, and Panthers (link).
Titans Claim Nate Palmer
The Titans have claimed linebacker Nate Palmer, as Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com tweets. Palmer was waived by the Packers late last week. 
Palmer, a sixth-round pick in 2013, saw a little playing time during his rookie season before spending the entire 2014 campaign on the injured reserve list. In 2015, he earned a starting job at inside linebacker, but ultimately ceded playing time to rookie Jake Ryan before the year was over. In 16 games (10 starts) last season, Palmer compiled 64 tackles, a sacks, and a pair of passes defended.
Palmer now joins Wesley Woodyard, Avery Williamson, and offseason pickup Sean Spence on the Titans’ depth chart at inside linebacker.
By cutting Palmer, Green Bay reduced his cap number from about $700K to just $25K in dead money. The Titans have now picked Palmer up for the final year of his low-scale rookie deal.

Laremy Tunsil, Joey Bosa Visiting Titans
- Ole Miss offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil and Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa are among the standout prospects visiting the Titans this week, tweets Jason Wolf of the Tennessean. The Titans are believed to like Bosa, but Tunsil remains the odds-on favorite to come off the board first overall if the club keeps its pick.
King: Titans Have "Solid" Offer For No. 1 Pick
- One personnel man told King that the Titans have a “definite solid offer” for the No. 1 overall pick, but it would probably have to be sweetened for Tennessee to consider moving down a few spots. “But no team’s going to do three ones, the way Washington did for [Robert Griffin III],” an evaluator said. “No player in this draft is worth that.”

Titans Interested In Sean Davis, Antonio Glover
Maryland corner Sean Davis is attracting a ton of interest around the league, according to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post, who writes that Davis has met or will meet with 16 clubs, including the Texans, Cowboys, Saints, Cardinals, Dolphins, Lions, Browns, Colts, Seahawks, Ravens, Washington, Raiders, 49ers, Steelers, Bengals, Bills, and Titans. Wilson also confirms previous reports that Davis has met with the Patriots and Ravens.
- Georgia Southern safety Antonio Glover met with the Lions and Titans after his Wednesday pro day, and was scheduled to fly to Indianapolis to meet with the Colts, according to Tony Pauline of DraftInsider.net.
Aaron Colvin, Others Suspended Four Games
Friday afternoons in the NFL offseason are often when the league announces suspensions for the coming season, and today is no exception. After the Falcons confirmed today that cornerback Jalen Collins has been banned four games for violating the league’s PED policy, several other suspensions were announced as well. Here’s the breakdown:
- Jaguars CB Aaron Colvin: Four-game suspension for violating PED policy (link via ESPN’s Michael DiRocco).
- Packers CB Demetri Goodson: Four-game suspension for violating PED policy (Twitter link via Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel).
- Titans WR Andrew Turzilli: Four-game suspension for violating PED policy (Twitter link via Jim Wyatt of TitansOnline.com).
Of those three players, Colvin is the most notable — he started 15 games for the Jaguars last season, compiling 73 tackles, four sacks, a forced fumble, and seven passes defended. With the 24-year-old out to open the season, the Jaguars will be leaning heavily on newly-signed CB Prince Amukamara.
Goodson was primarily a special-teamer for the Packers in 2015, while Turzili caught just two balls in three games for the Titans.

DeForest Buckner Visiting Titans
- Deadlines typically spur action in the NFL, which means the best trade offer for the No. 1 pick may not be on the table for the Titans until draft night. Still, as Paul Kuharsky of ESPN.com details, GM Jon Robinson isn’t opposed to the idea of making a deal in advance, suggesting it would give his team the opportunity to make plans accordingly. In the meantime, Tennessee continues to take a close look at top prospects, and will bring in Oregon defensive end DeForest Buckner on Monday, per Ian Rapoport of NFL.com (Twitter link).
Braxton Miller, Michael Thomas Worked Out For Titans
- Ohio State wideouts Braxton Miller and Michael Thomas worked out for the Titans last week, then got a look from three Bengals evaluators on Monday, tweets Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. Matt Miller of Bleacher Report adds (via Twitter) that he keeps hearing Thomas is a top target for Cincinnati.
Titans To Meet With Jalen Ramsey
The Titans will meet with Florida State defensive back Jalen Ramsey on Monday, as John Glennon of The Tennessean writes. Ramsey, who can play both corner and safety, is widely considered to be one of the top talents in this year’s class and the Titans are giving real thought to taking him first overall. The Titans’ secondary could certainly use the help after a rough showing last season.
Titans Draft Rumors: Benenoch, Hooper, Reynolds, Bell
- UCLA offensive lineman Caleb Benenoch is set to visit the Titans and Texans, as Ian Rapoport of NFL.com tweets. The athletic offensive lineman is widely viewed as a second-round prospect.
- Stanford tight end Austin Hooper visited the Titans and Bears earlier this week, Rand Getlin of NFL.com tweets. The 6’4″, 254-pound athlete is a likely top-50 pick, Getlin adds.
- So far, Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds has had workouts with the Ravens, Patriots, and Titans, according to freelance reporter Jenna Laine (via Twitter).
- Ohio State safety Vonn Bell has (or has had) meetings, workouts and/or visits with the Falcons, Steelers, and Titans, Rand Getlin of NFL.com tweets.
