The Browns made it known yesterday that they were shutting down Schwesinger and tight ends David Njoku and Harold Fannin Jr. for the final week of the season, but the Defensive Rookie of the Year-favorite is the only one to land on IR.
In Dallas, Williams failed to practice this week as he dealt with shoulder and neck issues. With Davis also being placed on IR, the Cowboys will rely on rookie fifth-rounder Jaydon Blue and the recently activated Mafah, a seventh-round rookie, in Week 18. The team used their eighth and final IR activation to bring Mafah back for a potential NFL debut.
Because Green Bay didn’t elevate recently signed practice squad quarterback Desmond Ridder, it appears either Malik Willis will be healthy enough to back up Clayton Tune or Jordan Love will serve as the potential QB2 for the Packers in Week 18.
Judon is set to make his Bills debut in the team’s regular season finale after signing to their practice squad two weeks ago.
With Saints backup quarterback Spencer Rattler not practicing this week with a finger injury, Haener gets the call to back up rookie Tyler Shough.
Hall in Tennessee had already been called up as a standard gameday practice squad elevation three times this season. In order for him to appear in the Titans’ regular season finale, the move to the 53-man roster was necessary.

With Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox both dealing with injuries, the Bills add Latu to the 53-man roster for depth. To make room, Buffalo has parted ways with the veteran, Hardman, just a week after activating him from injured reserve.
A number of players are being called up as standard gameday practice squad elevations for the third and final time on their current contracts. This is the case for Flowers in Chicago, Zappe in Cleveland, Sills in Indianapolis, Driscoll in Pittsburgh, and Kight in Seattle. If their respective teams wish to see them appear in another game this year, they will need to be signed to the 53-man roster, as was done with Wormley in Indianapolis and Chatman in New York this week after they exhausted their three elevations already this year.

Cox will give the Packers another pass-rushing option after they lost superstar Micah Parsons to a season-ending ACL tear in Week 15. An undrafted pickup in 2023, Cox impressed last season with five tackles for loss, four sacks, and a forced fumble in just seven games. However, he hasn’t factored in this year after suffering a groin injury in the Packers’ season-opening loss to the Lions. Now returning from a 13-game absence, Cox could have an opportunity to make an impact down the stretch.
Vele, a seventh-round pick a year ago, racked up 41 catches, 475 yards, and three touchdowns during a 13-game rookie season in Denver. The Broncos sold high on the 6-foot-5, 210-pounder in late August, shipping him to the Saints for a 2026 fourth-rounder and a 2027 seventh-rounder.
Vele, who’s now dealing with a shoulder injury, will wrap up his first season in New Orleans with 25 receptions, 293 yards, and two scores in 13 contests. While those are underwhelming numbers, Vele was far more productive in recent weeks. He combined for 19 grabs, 239 yards, and a TD in his last four games of the year.

Waived/injured:

- LB Nakobe Dean
Placed on IR (designated for return):
- OT Myles Hinton
Nakobe Dean is out until at least Week 4 as he continues to recover from a torn patellar tendon suffered during Philly’s playoff win over the Packers. The impending free agent is coming off his most productive NFL season. The former third-round pick finished the 2024 campaign having started all 15 of his appearances while compiling 128 tackles and three sacks.
Meanwhile, the Eagles moved on from a pair of notable offseason acquisitions. Kendall Lamm started 15 of his 32 appearances for the Dolphins over the past two years, and he was expected to provide the Eagles with some OT depth. Instead, the 33-year-old will look to continue his career elsewhere. The team also moved on from former second-round WR Terrace Marshall. The LSU product topped out at 490 yards during his three-year stint with the Panthers, and he followed that up with a 41-yard showing with the Raiders in 2024.
Eagles Sign Nine UDFAs
The Eagles added 10 players during the draft, and their rookie class has expanded further today. Philadelphia has signed the following undrafted free agents:
- Darius Cooper, WR (Tarleton State)
- Lance Dixon, LB (Toledo)
- Maxen Hook, DB (Toledo)
- Brandon Johnson, DB (Oregon)
- Montrell Johnson, RB (Florida)
- BJ Mayes, DB (Texas A&M)
- Taylor Morin, WR (Wake Forest)
- Hollin Pierce, OL (Rutgers)
- Shunderrick Powell, RB (Central Arkansas)
The Super Bowl champions, like all other teams, made a few notable investments as part of the process of putting together their UDFA class. Pierce received $180K in guarantees, Aaron Wilson of KPRC2 reports. He will spend the offseason competing for a depth role behind one of the best O-lines in the NFL.
Brandon Johnson also landed a six-figure commitment from Philadelphia. Per Wilson, the 5-11, 180-pounder received $170K guaranteed. After three years at Duke, Johnson played out his senior season with the Ducks. He recorded one interception and a scored a touchdown on a fumble recovery in 2024. Johnson will aim to carve out a roster spot via a special teams role.
Hook will likewise aim to earn a spot as a third phase contributor while providing depth on defense. His five-year stint at Toledo included three consecutive campaigns with first-team All-MAC honors. Hook totaled seven interceptions over that span, and in 2024 he set a new career high with 107 tackles.
