Minor NFL Transactions: 4/26/17
The latest minor moves from around the NFL:
- The Jets have waived running back Brandon Burks, wide receiver Darius Jennings, long snapper Josh Latham, linebacker Jeff Luc and defensive lineman Julien Obioha, per a team announcement. Jennings is the most experienced member of the group, but even he has just four NFL games under his belt (with Cleveland in 2015). During that stretch, he caught 14 passes on 21 attempts and totaled 171 yards.
- The Falcons have waived defensive tackle Jimmy Staten, a Georgia native who has spent time with six organizations since the Seahawks used a fifth-round pick on him in 2014. Staten, who hasn’t seen any regular-season action to this point, joined the Falcons’ practice squad in January.
- The Cowboys have signed Australian punter Sam Irwin-Hill, according to Charean Williams of the Star-Telegram (Twitter link). Irwin-Hill went undrafted out of Arkansas in 2014.
- Three of the Ravens’ exclusive rights free agents – receiver Keenan Reynolds, offensive lineman De’Ondre Wesley and linebacker Brennen Beyer – have signed their tenders, tweets Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun.

- LB Arthur Brown
- S Terrence Brooks
- LB Brennen Beyer
- RB Stephen Houston
- LB Patrick Onwausor
- WR Keenan Reynolds (story)
- C Matt Skura
Placed On IR:
- WR Michael Campanaro
- WR Chris Matthews
- OT De’Ondre Wesley
- DB Carrington Byndom (waived/injured)
Lewis-Moore, the Ravens’ sixth-round pick out of Notre Dame in 2013, had a tough beginning to his professional career, landing on IR in each of his first two seasons with the club. He finally made cracked the 53-man roster last year, appearing in five games for the Ravens. Baltimore has always liked his upside as a pass rusher, but he found himself squeezed out of a deep defensive line group this season.
Cutting Brooks was a bit of a surprise, as the former third-rounder was playing well early in the preseason. There was some optimism that Brooks would be able to leapfrog former first-rounder Matt Elam on the depth chart, but the 25-year-old was unable to carve out a role during his two years (plus preseason) on the team.

Minor NFL Transactions: 4/28/16
While we prepare for the start of the 2016 NFL draft, teams around the league are still tweaking their rosters. Here are today’s minor moves:
- The Ravens have officially re-signed guard/tackle De’Ondre Wesley, the team announced (Twitter link). Wesley had been an exclusive rights free agent, so he wasn’t going anywhere after being tendered by Baltimore.
- The Dolphins announced today (via Twitter) that they’ve cut defensive back Damarr Aultman, wide receivers Tyler Davis and Robert Herron, defensive tackle Robert Thomas, and linebacker Terrell Manning. Of those players, only Manning – as a vested veteran – will immediately hit the open market, while the rest will have to pass through waivers.
- The Seahawks have signed defensive end Tavaris Barnes, per Mike Kaye of First Coast News (on Twitter). Former Oregon tight end Brandon Williams also inked a one-year pact with the Seahawks, according to his agent Angelo Wright (Twitter link).
- Having made two additions to their roster, the Seahawks also removed a player, according to Dov Kleiman of RantSports, who tweets that quarterback Phillip Sims has been waived. Seattle had signed Sims to a reserve/futures contract back in January.

- The Jets have also made a move to provide insurance for a banged-up offensive lineman, elevating Wesley Johnson to their active roster, according to the team (Twitter link). Veteran center Nick Mangold suffered a neck injury against the Patriots, though he may not have to miss much – if any – time.
- As expected, the Buccaneers – who will be without Louis Murphy for the rest of the season and Vincent Jackson in the short term – have promoted wide receiver Adam Humphries from their practice squad, tweets Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune.
- The Jaguars have signed linebacker Hayes Pullard from off the Browns’ practice squad, waiving linebacker James-Michael Johnson to clear a space on their roster, according to John Oehser of Jaguars.com (Twitter link).

Ravens, Bengals Cut Down To 75 Players
Two AFC North rivals, the Ravens and the Bengals, have reduced their rosters to 75 players in advance of this afternoon’s deadline, the teams announced today.
The Ravens confirmed in a press release that they’ve officially placed Dennis Pitta on the reserve/PUP list, a move we heard weeks ago was coming. The club waived offensive lineman De’Ondre Wesley to get down to 75 players on the active roster, and also cut tackle Darryl Baldwin, who had been on the reserve/NFI list.
As for the Bengals, their roster had been at 78 players after they cut Denarius Moore and eight other players on Monday. Cincinnati’s final three roster moves, according to the team (via Twitter), were placing offensive tackle Cedric Ogbuehi on the reserve/NFI list, placing linebacker Sean Porter on the reserve/PUP list, and waiving wide receiver Onterio McCalebb with an injury designation.
Ogbuehi and Porter will now have to sit out at least the first six weeks of the regular season, while McCalebb will land on the Bengals’ IR list if and when he clears waivers.
